Burleigh Hill School Toy Drive| Jeanette Burton Keeps Coming Back | Giving Back

Giving back and coming back to the little school with a big heart is what it is all about for Thoroldite Jeanette Burton.  A volunteer on the annual Burleigh School Toy Drive for many years, Jeanette keeps on coming back to the campaign supporting Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold. Even though her son and daughter have graduated from the elementary school years ago, Jeanette shows staying power by loyally volunteering for the 3-week campaign.  For three weeks volunteers including students, volunteers, and school staff canvassed for donations at the Canadian Tire on Glendale.

Today, Jeanette was recognized for outstanding volunteerism at a presentation to wrap up the 2018 Drive, which displayed a mountain of toys in the Burleigh Hill School gym.  At the presentation Toy Drive Coordinator & Teacher, Maria Carfagnini joined Principal, Kristen Kosh to congratulate Jeanette Burton at right.
“It would not feel like Christmas if we did not come back to help the Toy Drive for Community Care, “ said Jeanette.

Please join us in a big community shout out for Jeanette and everyone on the campaign for Community Care.  Thanks to the generous donors that pitched in their Canadian Tire money or cash, and the many volunteers.  As a result of these good deeds, hundreds of kids will feel the joy of receiving a toy for a Merry Christmas.
