From the Downtown Thorold Market grand opening in June to the fresh fruits and vegetables coming in July, our community is feasting with Niagara’s seasonal goodness.
Yes, our community is truly growing and celebrating with the grand opening of the new Downtown Thorold Market on June 9. The fresh, local idea blossomed into a fruitful business at the grand opening which was highlighted by a ribbon cutting ceremony and presentations by Thorold Mayor Ted Luciani and MP Vance Badawey.
Shoppers picked up artisan breads, pies, jams, honey, handmade delights, and much more local Niagara goodness. Customer support exceeded expectations for a strong start as most of the produce was cleared out. Face Painting by Erin made the kids very happy with the fun activity.
The grand opening event visitors received a free ballot to enter a draw to win a prize. Theresa Solomon of St. Catharines is the lucky recipient of a Downtown Thorold Market basket packed with local goodness. Market operator Carrie Cottage thanks everyone for an awesome grand opening on Saturday.

In July, the selection of local seasonal vegetables and fruits will offer many choices including cherries and much more. market will introduce a variety of family activities for visitors to enjoy.

There will be plenty to see and taste at the Market on Saturday, June 30th including free Canada Day themed arm, face paint, vendors, fresh breads, produce and strawberries and much more including pies and tarts.
