Thorold Santa Claus Parade Comeback November 26

Who feels our community missed a beat during the shutdown of the annual Santa Claus Parade?

For those who missed the parade during the pandemic and sensed that something was missing in life, we found some news that might be music to your ears. The annual Thorold Santa Claus Parade is coming back to action!

The community event will celebrate its 30th Anniversary this year. As a local tradition, the parade is scheduled to run on the last Saturday of November, which pops it on the calendar this year for November 26, 2022. Stay tuned for exact details on the parade times and location.

Stars of Parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus Confirm Attendance

One thing we know for sure about the the local attraction is that the stars of the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will march through Downtown Thorold.

The parade will feature an array of festive community floats, musical talents, parade marchers and other fun entertainment, according to a media release from the City of Thorold.

“This year, we recognize how truly significant the parade is for our Community. Not only does it mark the return of an in-person event, but it also kick-starts the holiday season. For 29 years, the parade has been run by dedicated volunteers who have been committed to providing City of Thorold residents with a fun and meaningful holiday celebration. We are excited to bring that vision back to life for the 30th Anniversary of the parade this year.”

Thorold Santa Claus Parade Volunteers Wanted

To honour this legacy, the City is working with volunteers who were involved in previous years to incorporate some special elements and activities to mark its 30th anniversary.
