Family Doctors Accepting New Patients at New Thorold Medical Centre
People who are in need of a new Family Doctor can visit the new Thorold Family Medical Centre. Located at 21 Front St. S., unit 201 in Thorold, the Centre will hold a grand opening presentation on January 18, 11am to 1:30 pm. Local dignitaries will also attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at the grand opening at 12 Noon on January 18.
The Centre is now accepting new patients for doctors on the medical team including Dr. Brian Siu, and Dr. Andre Blanchard, while Dr. Preston Zuliani will continue his medical practice at the downtown Thorold facility.
Family Doctors
Dr. Brian Siu is a resident of Fonthill and father of 2 young children. A graduate of McGill University, and McMaster University, Dr. Siu is a strong supporter of preventative medicine and promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Andre Blanchard was born and raised in St. Catharines. He graduated from the McMaster University School of Medicine, Niagara campus, and completed his residency at Western University in London. Dr. Blanchard always hoped to return to Niagara, and he is excited to establish his medical practice in Thorold.
In addition to assisting patients at the Centre, Dr. Zuliani is Assistant Professor in Family Practice at McMaster University and has been teaching medical students and residents in his office since 1991. From time to time, patients may be seen by a Medical Student or Family Practice Resident, but may also see Dr. Zuliani. A native of Thorold, Dr. Zuliani is proud to support the community and expand his medical practice in a larger facility to better serve patients from all areas in Niagara. A distinguished medical professional, Dr. Zuliani has been practising family medicine in Niagara for more than 40 years.
The Centre is centrally located for all people in Niagara to reach easily in downtown Thorold. Ample free parking is available in the municipal lot on Albert Street West (adjacent to fire hall). The Centre is open for regular hours 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday while after hours clinics are available in the evening and on weekends. During the winter months, the lane from the parking lot behind the Centre to the building’s front door can be slippery and treacherous. Henderson’s Pharmacy, adjacent to the Centre, has suggested that there would be no objection to patients walking in their back door and walking through the pharmacy to access Front Street to reach the Centre’s front to avoid the outdoor conditions.
Chiropractic services are also provided at the Centre by Dr. Christopher Zuliani. Traditional chiropractic treatments are used along with many newer rehabilitation techniques including Shockwave, Spinal decompression, strength training, among other services.
