Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids

Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids

The local Knights of Columbus council 2319 in Thorold will be collecting new and gently used and loved winter coats for distribution to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, an organization that assists people in need.  Other winter wear such as toques, hats, gloves, or mittens would also be accepted for this collection.

Cash donations will be collected by the Knights of Columbus 2319 council at Holy Rosary Church to help with the Coats for Kids distribution. Thorold Community Credit Union is a 24/7 drop-off location for donations.

As little as $25 can provide a child with a new coat. 100% of your donation will go towards new winter coats for children in need. Every loonie or quarter adds up to support this charitable cause. If would like to make a donation online, visit www.kofc.org/charities today

Winter wear donations collected at Holy Rosary Church

If you who have items to keep a person in need warm this winter, please bring them to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church on Sundays during mass times.  The general public is welcome to place items in the barrel located in the back of Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen St., S., Thorold. Donations can also be placed in the barrel in the foyer which is open 24/7 at the Thorold Community Credit Union, 63 Front St. S.

The Knights of Columbus will distribute the donated items to those in need. Please spread the word and help us share some warmth during this winter season.

Where There’s A Need – There’s a Knight

The Knights of Columbus launched the Coats for Kids program to ensure that every child in need would have access to a warm winter coat. Since the program started in 2009, councils have purchased and distributed more than 500,000 new winter coats to children throughout North America.

The Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program is just one of many ways that the Knights put faith into action. Join us in our mission and serve others through our core principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

The Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids shows where there’s a need, there’s a Knight lending a helping hand in a spirit of service and sacrifice. Go to KofC2319.org to learn more about our local Knights in Thorold.
