The City of Thorold Age-Friendly Committee, Welland Senior Advisory Committee, Pelham Seniors Advisory Committee and Niagara Age-Friendly Implementation Committee are organizing a Forum Celebrating Age-Friendly Niagara on June 21, 2017. The morning session is entitled Celebrating the Older Adult – the First 150 Years and the afternoon session is dedicated to Empowering the Older Adult – the next 150 Years.
Celebrating Age Friendly Niagara 2017 will be a full day event that will include speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and sharing of best practices related to age-friendly community initiatives and establishing key networking opportunities. We are privileged to have
Hazel McCallion, former Mayor of Mississauga and current Chancellor of Sheridan College, provide a keynote address at our afternoon session.
Age-Friendly and Senior Advisory Committees within and beyond the Niagara Region, elected officials, academics, business, health and other service providers assisting older adults and municipal and regional staff will all benefit from this event.
Financial support in the form of donations or sponsorship will help cover expenses to produce the event. The Committee is also applying to grant opportunities as they become available.

There will be a number of ways to recognize your sponsorship donation in products to be developed for June 2017 event such as recognition in the information package and a number of complementary tickets to the event. Specifics have not been finalized to date.
