Superhero Run For Niagara Children’s Centre

On weekdays, Daniela Di Paola-LaFratta, a local Chiropractor is a champion assisting patients at her clinic in Thorold, while her husband  Franco Di Paola is a winner as a chef in Niagara, but on a special Sunday in October, the dynamic duo were Super Heroes joined by their children Oriana & Niko at the fourth annual event hosted by the Niagara Children’s Centre.

It was a sensational day for an adventure in charitable deeds at the Superhero Run for Niagara Children’s Centre held on October 14. Characters of all ages descended onto the scene at Brock University. More than 600 superheroes flashed their capes and colourful costumes to help raise funds for the NCC to provide therapy for children with special needs in Niagara. The fourth annual NCC event was a super success with more than 800 people including donors, families, community partners and volunteers coming together to collect $70,000 to help the kids and mightiest of superheroes!

Highlights of the 4th annual event:

  • $70,000 raised – an increase of $15,000 over last year!
  • 800 attendees, including donors, families, community partners and volunteers
  • 21 sponsors
