Local business can TAP in to higher profits by joining a new program in collaboration with the Combined Chairs Alliance and the City of Thorold.
With leadership by the City of Thorold, representatives of the Thorold Business Improvement Area (BIA), The Greater Thorold Business Council (GTBC), City of Thorold Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) and City of Thorold Tourism Agent have collaborated to form the Combined Chairs Alliance. The Thorold Ambassador Program will be the CCA’s first collaborative effort to drive local business to increase sales for companies in our community.

While a variety of elements go into creating a successful business, customer service is center-stage. With this in mind, the CCA is developing the Thorold Ambassador Program to help our local businesses gain a profitable return on investments in quality training and promotions.

An Introduction Session was held on September 1 at the Ontario Paper Thorold Seniors Centre to discuss the Thorold Ambassador Program with local business people.
Pictured at the meeting, Bill Vanderklippe, Print Three, Kelly Liddycoat, Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, and Rachel Mowat, The Grounds Coffee House and Bakery. Diana D’Intino from A Yellow Flower Basket also attended along with City Councillor Terry Ugulini, Frank Fabiano, City of Thorold, and Susan Morin, Venture Niagara / Thorold Tourism, and Dan Pelletier, Thorold Community Activities Group, Executive Director.
The group learned that a need was identified in Thorold for greater communication between organizations with the common goal to promote business, while collaborating with companies in Thorold.
