Thorold Community Theatre Produces Office Hours

The funny thing about Office Hours in Thorold is all the changes.  I don’t mean the shift from 9 to 5, but all the hilarious changes in Office Hours produced by the Thorold Community Theatre creatively twisted together to launch their 2017 season.  From March 24 to April 8, the TCT entertained live theatre fans with comedic changes in Office Hours, a play by Canada’s award-winning playwright Norm Foster.

Imagine a Friday afternoon in the big city and shifting scenes in six different offices as a variety of six stories unfold simultaneously.  Set in the 90’s, the six vignettes come together in a madcap of changes in a funny frenzy towards the end of Office Hours. The curtain was raised for eight shows at Trinity United Church Community Hall in Thorold for the comedy directed by Diana Burse.

Congratulations to the Office Hours producers Marilyn Colbert and Sandy Tatone along with performances by a talented cast, and a team of volunteers including stage managers Jenny Ludlam and Elizabeth Wickson.  Pictured above, back row, from left, Sandy Tatone, Jenny Ludlam, Elizabeth Wickson and Marilyn Colbert prior to the show on April 7. As a community theatre group, the TCT excels thanks to contributions from many volunteers on the production team.  The show’s success also requires support from generous sponsors such as Henderson’s Pharmacy, Johnny Rocco’s, Vicky’s Hair Salon, Thorold Veterinary Hospital, and many other local businesses.  Let’s keep in mind that the TCT sponsors give us another reason to shop Thorold and buy from the local businesses that support live theatre in our community.

A big hit for 31 years, the TCT will continue to entertain audiences in the fall when Fantasy by Appointment will be presented.  Stay in tune with live theatre in Thorold and go online to thoroldtheatre.ca.

TCT consider ourselves to be a bit of an undiscovered gem here in Niagara. We produce an almost professional quality product; our sets are second to none, our actors are experienced and talented – some listing television and film credits in their bios. And, after 30 seasons, we know how to present a production. The 1,000 -1,500 patrons attending each production is a testament to that.
We are always looking for Volunteer Members! Anyone can join for the nominal fee of $10/year.
Membership meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month and held in the upstairs meeting room at Trinity United Church.
