Thorold Santa Claus Parade 2017 _ TCAG

Thorold Santa Claus Parade | TCAG Collaboration

It looks like the Thorold Community Activities Group had fun teaming up with other groups to collaborate in the Thorold Santa Claus Parade held on Saturday, November 25.
Showing genuine energy and enthusiasm Zach Root entertained the streetside audience by bringing the TCAG mascot, Camper, to life. Players on the Thorold Junior B Blackhawks joined the TCAG in the collection of food donations for Community Care Thorold. CAA Niagara and Mike Lavallee from John Bear provided float vehicles and drivers.  That’s teamwork!

“There were thousands of viewers lining the parade route – all with smiles. This is a great event for Thorold and we are proud to play a key role in the Parade,” said Dan Pelletier, Executive Director, Thorold Community Activities Group.

The 27th annual Thorold Santa Claus Parade proved to be one of the city’s largest events of the season with a wonderfully early evening night-lit presentation.  It all started at Monsignor Clancy School, traveling down Sullivan Avenue to Front Street, turning downtown for the audience to view the bands.  The parade wrapped up at Regent St. near the Thorold  Arena. Parade-goers were entertained by marching bands,  floats and various community groups to impress them  with colourful Christmas lights and music for people of all ages in the audience.  Congratulations to the parade committee on producing a successful community event.
