The Historic Downtown Thorold Car Show on July 22 revved up nostalgia along Front Street.
Car fans found many spectacular scenes to photograph in Downtown Thorold featuring classic cars and heritage buildings with beautiful facades.
The annual event inspired the sentimentality of the past for visitors to safely browse along Front Street closed to automotive traffic.
Dash plaques were presented to the first 100 cars to join the show. The cavalcade of classic cars connected to former times of hot rods and roadsters displayed beautifully in our local heritage district.
Thorold BIA President Marsha Coppola, owner of Da Bomb Bath and Body Products was happy to volunteer on the event committee handling the prize table with gifts from the downtown merchants. Lou from Precise Sound Entertainment performed as MC under the main tent. It was nice to see the Thorold Lions and Youth Unlimited in action to sell raffle tickets for their fundraising to support charitable causes.
The Niagara Region Water Wagon was on location for people to quench their thirst with fresh, cold water.
Kids were thrilled to score at the Niagara River Lions booth on Front Street with the prize wheel and Dunkin, the NBL team mascot.
