The Thorold Community Credit Union is hosting a bike decorating contest coupled with a charity barbecue that adds up to a double-header event alongside the Downtown Car Cruise on August 12.
In past years, the bike decorating contest was usually held on Canada Day, but this year the promotion will be matched up with a community barbecue in support of Community Care. Hot Dogs, hamburgers and refreshments will be available at Thorold Community Credit Union, 63 Front Street St. S. with proceeds to Community Care!
The Car Cruise Fridays on Front Street on the same night will also attract visitors to the downtown core. Orgranizers feel the barbecue should benefit from the show’s customer traffic.
Kids are being challenged to decorate their bike in a “Canadian Style” for a chance to win prizes:.
- 1st Prize: $100 in a TCCU Savings Account
- 2nd Prize: $50 in a TCCU Savings Account
- 3rd Prize: $25 in a TCCU Savings Account
We think it’s also pretty cool that the “Canadian Style” bike decorating contest is being held during the Canada Summer Games hosted in Thorold in August.
