Actually, this scenario describes a primary benefit of the Niagara Health and explains why people filled the Courtyard at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre on Saturday, October 1 for a one-day event.

Healthcare Experts Give Expo Visitors Free Advice

The Region’s top healthcare experts collaborated in the Niagara Health Expo on at the Hotel Dieu Shaver to inspire visitors to live well every day. Hundreds of people of all ages connected with doctors and healthcare practitioners showcased at the third annual event designed to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Interactive displays, expert speakers, and live demonstrations covered a broad range of healthcare services. Product samples, prizes, and swag bags promoted healthy fun.
The free community event was made possible through sponsor support from Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers, Henderson’s Pharmacy, KMH Labs, and more than 30 other event partners.
A successful production of the event also relies on the dedicated support of volunteers to assist on a wide range of activities from booth set up, visitor information, and parking supervision. Thanks to Volunteer Coordinator James Symons for leading the team from start to finish.
The Expo is designed to empower residents to get information and learn how to take care of their families’ health, safety, and environmental well-being. Attendees said they were impressed with the variety of services featured as they learned, connected, and interacted with experts covering healthcare from head to toe, and everything in between.
Proceeds from a Silent Auction have been donated to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation to help purchase equipment for patient care.
