The sights and sounds of Christmas filled the air as the stars of the season cruised in keep Thorold rocking with a street party at the Santa Claus Parade on November 26.
Sixty-three entrants entertained the audiences for the 26th annual community event. Bands and floats paraded down Sullivan Avenue and continued down Front Street to the Thorold Arena for a smooth finish. Canadian rower and Silver Medal winner in the 2012 Summer Olympics, Natalie Mastracci cruised up front in the parade to inspire the audience to “follow your dreams.“ Downbeat Percussion from New York state joined local favourites P K Hummingbird Steel Orchestra, Lakeshore High School Band, 283 Performing Arts Company, Scorpions Cheerleading, Fascination Dance Studio, along with many other groups joined in for a fun-filled parade. Cindy Lou from Whoville paraded on the float presented by Duraroc Rubber Surfacing.
