Meet Sarah Barrett, owner/stylist, Solace Hair & Esthetics, 207 Keefer Rd., Thorold.
Where are you from and how long have you been in Thorold?
I am originally from Toronto, living in northern Ontario as well as out West! I have been in Niagara coming up to 25 years! I’ve had the pleasure of having s business in Thorold for 18 years!
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My favourite person by far is my closest friend Jeremy. We have been married almost 25 years. He is a wonderful person to share my laughter and goals with! He’s a great ‘sous chef’ in the kitchen!
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Ireland! Green is my favourite colour! I love Guinness, the Irish and have wanted to go since I was a child.
What is your favourite local store in Thorold and why?
Easily, Figg street Co. The feeling of warmth and comfort I get every time, you just can’t beat it! So many treasures within!
What is your favourite local event or attraction?
I love the Morning side Mill , that whole area is a great place to lose yourself for a time.
If you had to choose: fish & chips, beef on a bun, or pasta?

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
My Maternal Grandmother, I’ll tell you about her sometime.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
My gift of time, trade, most important sharing what I love about our Creator! Defending those in need and helping people with food when I can! Everyone should go to bed without hunger!
What is your personal goal 2019 or what would like to see happen this year?
To be kind when it’s hard! To create happiness! To be a loyal friend!
