Thorold Ambassadors Making Community a Great Place

Focused on a mission to help make Thorold a great place, a group of local Ambassadors continues to grow with enthusiasm. As business boosters in our community, the group continually gets stronger with merchants, managers, and local organizations stepping us as Thorold Ambassadors. By joining the pilot project sponsored by the City of Thorold in partnership with the Combined Chairs Alliance, the participants benefit from a referral marketing system, cross-promotions, and customer service training sessions. A workshop on Handling Customer Complaints will take a creative twist and show participants how to turn the proverbial lemons into lemonade. The session will be held on November 15 and 16, 7:45 am to 9 am at Thorold City Hall, Committee Room 1. The registration fee is $20 plus HST.

By definition in our community marketing campaign, Thorold Ambassadors are authorized representatives and messengers who care to make our city a great place to be.
In order to be certified as an Ambassador, individuals are required to attend customer service training sessions and pass a test with a score of 80 percent or higher.
In addition to customer service training, the program includes cross-promotions, a referral marketing system, a Train the Trainer workshop and a secret shopper program which will run in December.
Showing their commitment to provide excellent customer service, the following participants attended workshops on business etiquette as well as listening and communications skills.
