Thorold Minor Baseball connected with MY Thorold to update our community on interesting news and developments with the organization in preparation for the 2021 season. Check out the story on the group that is aiming to hit a home run for Thorold kids.
A key point we learned is that the Thorold Minor Baseball has been undergoing a transformation and rebuild since January 2020. The organization welcomed a new President, Chris Green, and embarked on moving in a new and exciting direction. By focusing on communication, player and family experience, as well as development and fun, Thorold Baseball has watched its registration numbers grow and has seen players who had left return home.
New Website
With a brand new website www.thoroldbaseball.com, the group set out to have an incredible 2020. When the pandemic took hold and restrictions came into place, Thorold Baseball remained focused on “making it work.”
“We sat down and decided that we were going to find a way to deliver a safe, fun and responsible season for as many of our players and families as we could. We developed protocols, plans, and schedules and delivered an incredible season for our 9U, 11U and 18U players.”
Chris Green, President, Thorold Baseball
Armed with a dedicated board of directors (Chris Green, Robb Norris, Shelley Brevitt, Tim O’Brien, Adam Semenuk, Josh Doan and Dan Haist) and the experience of 2020, Thorold Baseball opened its 2021 registration in November and has over 60 families committed to the upcoming season and counting. Pictured above, board member Robb Norris is shown masked up with his kids on the 11U, 9U, 7U Thorold Athletics teams.
