What’s a StoryWalk?
It’s something you can hop into at the Thorold Easter Egg Hun and StoryWalk.
As Marsha Coppola tells us, a StoryWalk is a picture book that has been enlarged and spaced out to allow for an immersive walking experience.
Every Bunny Is Welcome – April 2 & 3
In a media release, Marsha, the Thorold BIA Secretary / Treasurer invited the community to discover a unique experience at the Thorold Easter Egg Hunt and StoryWalk to be held April 2 and 3 from 10 am to 4 pm in Downtown Thorold. She says the promotion presented by the Thorold Business Improvement Area (BIA) is an opportunity for families to enjoy a safe outdoor event.
“Participants will have the chance to collect Easter egg prizes while reading through a StoryWalk,”
Marsha Coppola, BIA Secretary / Treasurer and owner of Da Bomb Bath Products Company on Front Street, S.
All eggs in the promotion will contain a prize. Some of the toy eggs will also contain coupons for larger prizes donated by local businesses like keychains from the Post Office Shannon Passero, piggy banks from Thorold Community Credit Union, colouring books from the Thorold Public Library, bath bombs from the Da Bomb, pizza slices from Papa Vince or Easter gift baskets from Henderson’s Pharmasave.
Register for the event by phoning the Thorold Public Library at 905-227-2581.

News from other cities this year show community groups will run drive-thru egg hunts, and unfortunately in other places the easter tradition for kids have been cancelled. In Thorold, the creative collaboration by several community groups and local businesses has set up a plan for a a fun, safe, calm, and relatively unique interactive program that is being promoted with safety protocols in place to enable families with kids a group experience to enjoy an outdoor family event.
