Saturday, October 3, 9 am to 4 pm
A strong start to part one of the Fall Food Drive for Community Care Thorold is being achieved as many people have signed up for drop-off locations. The next step will ask donors to bring non-perishable foods on Saturday, October 3, from 9 am to 4 pm to the bins at the locations listed below.
Businesses have also requested bins for donations and promotions for the food drive. For example, Da Bomb Bath Co. on 59 Front Street S. is giving away a candle for any person who drops off food at the store. Individuals will receive a ballot to enter for a chance to win the candle. Da Bomb’s owner, Marsha Coppola also organized a team including her sons and their friends to deliver flyers to homes on Winterberry Road to promote the food drive. There are many other stories like this showing how our community is pulling together to support people in need.
The most needed items requested by Community Care are soda crackers , (for soup), canned stew, spaghetti sauce, canned meat / tuna, juice, peanut butter, coffee/tea/ hot chocolate.
See the list of locations where donors will find a bin on October 3 to donate to the fall food drive October 3 from 9 am to 4 pm arranged by James Symons.
