People from Thorold, St. Catharines, and other surrounding areas in Niagara were happy to be in the Healing Garden at Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre on August 8 to celebrate the hospital’s 12th anniversary.
How did the Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre celebrate 12 years of excellence in patient care?
The Centre hosted its 12th anniversary barbecue lunch in the Healing Garden on a splendid summer afternoon at the hospital . Staff teamed up with volunteers to host HDS co-workers, patients, and visitors. Picture above, HDS Teamwork is shown by Jane, Jennifer, Subudhi & Sister Louise.
It was a fun and sunny day to enjoy grilled burgers, hot dogs, chips and cold drinks.
The Hotel Dieu Shaver helps restore health, rebuild life and renew hope by providing extraordinary care to every patient that walks in their doors in St. Catharines. The hospital is a specialty healthcare facility that excels in providing rehabilitation, complex care and geriatric services to patients from the Niagara Region.
At Hotel Dieu Shaver, their person-centred care approach means clients are viewed holistically and compassionately. Person-centred care involves respecting human dignity through patient advocacy and empowerment, and respecting the patients’ autonomy, voice, self-determination, and participation in decision-making. The HDS team is driven by a mission to restore health, rebuild life, and renew hope by providing extraordinary care to every patient that walks through our doors.
