Looking for free summer fun in Thorold?
The City of Thorold is offering a Summer Program including outdoor fitness activities, art workshops, as well as a series of family flicks in local parks.
Fitness Classes
Free drop-in fitness classes in partnership with the Thorold Community Activities Group will run to August 27th. Participants must register for each scheduled class. Go to Thorold events and programs web page for more information or call 905-227-6613 ext. 403 for details.
The outdoor exercise program includes Zumba, Tai Chi, and Yoga, as well as morning fitness classes.
A scheduled rotation of municipal parks will be used to host the classes at Richmond Street Park, Mel Swart Park, Rolling Meadows, and South Confederation Park. Click to check out the schedule.
Movies and Music in the Park Nights
The City of Thorold will pop up the big screen for three Movies in the Park Nights this summer. Plan to head over to a local park set for a free outdoor screening of a family movie. Registration is required to ensure social distancing guidelines are maintained.
As a community event, the public is welcome to attend the free movie nights to be held in a local park for a scheduled family flick. Thorold residents gain a bit of an advantage for this series in their hometown as registration will open 14 days in advance of each film for locals, while non-residents can sign up and 7 days, subject to availability.

Art Workshops for Children and Youth
The City of Thorold has also formed a partnership with the Creative Bug to provide art workshops that will run during the summer for children and youth. Visit www.thorold.ca/programs to register and join the fun.
