Creative variety is one phrase to describe the Thorold Christmas Art Craft Show. The 24th annual community event organized by Cathy Henderson will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 -19, at the Thorold Secondary School on Ormond St. Visitors who appreciate unique art and craft creations will be in the perfect place.
Looking for creative variety? Pipe Dreams by Kelly & Ralph Kelly from Welland will feature eclectic lighting pieces that resemble steampunk fashion. Galvanized steel pipe, vintage finds and art combined to make each lamp a conversation piece.
Thorold-based Michelle Maxwell will feature miniature fairy dolls, polymer clay fairy doors, make your-own fairy kits, fairy and angel ornaments at her Little Town Crafts booth.
Find Grace Robinson from St Catharines at her Sticks and Stone booth showcasing framed art, each unique piece has been inspired by nature and lovingly created using sticks, pebbles and beach glass.
Some other Items up for grab this year include wearable art, pottery, fresh winter arrangements , repurposed vintage jewellery, hand drawn/painted mandalas on stone & canvas, and pine needle baskets. Look for home and garden seasonal décor, concrete tables & benches, pet items, signage, bath/body/skin care and much more,
Artisans in the show will travel from distances near and far. Find the artisans from Allanburg, Beamsville, Binbrook, Bothwell, Campbellville, Cambridge, Cloyne, Elmira, Fenwick, Fonthill, Fort Erie, Glen William, Grimsby, Hamilton, Ingersoll, Linwood, Lowbanks, Melancthon, Moffat, New Hamburg, Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, Owen Sound, Palmerston, Port Colborne, Ridgeway, Sarnia, Simcoe, St Catharines, Stevensville, Stouffville, Tara, Toronto, Tottenham, Vineland, Waterdown, Welland, Wellandport, Windsor, and York. A couple of vendors will travel from LaSarre and Val des-Monts in Quebec. Of course, hometown artisans from Thorold will be close to home to meet friends and family at the show.
