Yes, and you can enjoy a concert on June 7th featuring the oldest, continuously running band in Canada.
St. Andrew’s Church presents the Thorold Reed Band, benefit concert in support of Community Care. June 7th, 7:30 pm at St. Andrew’s Church, 24 Clairmont St. Thorold. Admission to the concert is by a free will offering. All proceeds collected at the fundraiser concert will be donated to Community Care.
Andrew Carruthers, the band director, mentioned that the concerts will feature a variety of music to try and appeal to the different generations and preferences of people in the audience.
This concert is a preview for the band to launch their summer season of performances.
Starting on June 21 the band will commence its summer concert series that will go on a 9-week run. The weekly concerts on Wednesday nights will start at 7:30 pm in the Battle of Beaverdams Park.
