Bruno D’Intino and an event team that have produced a wild game dinner for many years were back in the hunt for a unique culinary experience at Club Roma on February 1st, while raising money for a charity.
A Thorold resident, Bruno coordinated the wild game dinner with the assistance of numerous volunteers and fellow hunters to produce the annual feast. A full house enjoyed specialty foods, prizes and fundraising for the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation. The annual Wild Dinner Night hit the target with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation, estimated to be more than $5,000 to help purchase equipment for patient care at the local hospital.
The menu featured pasta with special meat sauce of wild boar, polenta with deer and elk, and a mixed grill of rabbit, lamb, quail and sausage. Close to 700 patrons filled the Gemini Room and Starlight Room as ticket buyers aimed to win raffle prizes from an awesome selection including a prosciutto and slicer.
